Kalispell Data Breach Settlement

You may be entitled to benefits from a class action settlement if your personal information was compromised in a data breach disclosed by Kalispell Regional Healthcare in October 2019.

About This Case

In October 2019, Kalispell disclosed that an unknown actor had gained access to its internal networks, exposing the personal information of thousands of patients.

This breach included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, dates of birth, telephone numbers, email addresses, medical history and treatment information, dates of service, treating physicians, medical bill account numbers, and/or health insurance information.

Individuals who allege that they were affected by the Data Breach (the Plaintiffs) filed a class action lawsuit claiming that Kalispell (the Defendants) did not adequately protect their information.

Kalispell denies any wrongdoing, and no court or other entity has made any judgment or other determination of any wrongdoing. Instead, the Montana Eighth Judicial District Court, Cascade County, has authorized this Settlement to resolve all of Plaintiffs’ claims in the lawsuit.
